Crazy Quilt Batts!

We have a big old carder here in the fiber palace. It cards up great batts and the sheep always love Crazy Quiltedness! The batts measure approximately 18"x36" and are easily spun. We usually only run the fiber through one time to make them not only Crazy Quilt but a bit surprising- just like the sheep! 

The sheep wash the wool (read more about how we wash wool & llama/alpaca fiber), dye it or not and let it dry. THEN the fun starts. They love to add in silk noil, firestar, sari silk threads and much much more. You just never know what their fancy will be each batt that is created!
