About a month ago, my friend Carol of @crinkledpath on Youtube, retired AND celebrated a birthday- all in the same week! Another friend, Angela of The Traveling Crafter ( @Angelaschrad-Artist on Youtube), sent out Dolly Parton cake mixes for us to create a journal from. Dolly’s song 9 to 5 was the theme. Pretty perfect! Every journal was spectacularly different and so creative. SO, here is my version!

I wanted the journal to be a little larger than the cake box so I added it to a vintage book cover. The journal measures 7x7; has 25 pages (50 front/back); vintage bling (broken jewelry); vintage and new trim and lace.

There is plenty of room for artwork, journaling, glue booking- it just needs your finishing touch!

I used a ring bound spin so the pages can be easily moved around, removed and new pages added. Hope you will add a little bit of many colors to your next project and/or collection! Cheers!
