When the sheep and I sat down and planned a yarn for the yarn challenge (which we did not make the deadline for because they were bickering too much) we decided that we would put together a fun yarn! The yarn includes several of our sheep's fiber and a bonanza (ha) of other goodies including silk noil, firestar and more. I spun the first ply bulky and soft, with my grandmother Emma's Crazy Quilts in mind. Her colors were art in themselves and she made them with the material she had--much like I imagine a pioneer woman would. Bright and cheerful for a looooonng trip.

I plyed the yarn on my quill spinner so we could add in some cute vintage looking Cracker Jack prize charms. You know, things you would pack on a wagon with all your valuables-- a cowboy hat and boots; a guide with a sombrero; toys for the kids; your dogs; pots and pans; toothpaste (dentures); watch out for bears, and of course the ply is a pretty green yarn that sticks out like, well grass--have to have that for your horses!

SO, this will be an adventure to spin, was just as fun to spin--the sheep can really be pushy but we managed! The skein includes approximately 70 yards (half two ply, half charmed)/4.7 ounces
