Our Shimmer.....
Our Shimmer.....
Shimmer lives up to her pretty name, ringlet curls and a shiny, friendly personality. Both goats came from a very sad situation several years ago, arrived here crawling with bugs and just not healthy at all. They are both at least 10 years old and were very sad when their owner decided their fiber was 'no good' any more and booted them out with out a lot of care as to where they ended up.

I am glad we could give Shimmer a few extra years of health, love and anything else she needed. We had to part with her this summer and I still find it difficult to explain how this is so sad--to have to say goodbye to a being you fought so hard for. I adored her and hope she is up with Vini and Bela galloping about happily with lots to eat.... wah

11-17-08-Update set for Wednesday of this week--stay tuned for our new Jordan Valley Mill Spun--combinations of yarn spun for us at Argyle Fiber Mill from our own sheep's fiber and Jenny's alpaca/llama fiber--big fun and big news!!! (our first yarn--sock yarn!!!)
