A bit about our dye process....
A bit about our dye process....
I am not a typical fiber dyer by any stretch of the imagination! I do not keep recipes or instructions, it is just add dye to the dye pots and wa-la, whatever comes out is just too fun!

I use a combination of any dyes I can get my hands on, including Rit, Easter egg dye, food coloring, Wilton cake icing dyes (not the candy dyes), kook aid,commercial dyes and sometimes natural dye if I can squeeze time in for that too!

I am a bit heavy handed with the dyes so even though I rinse and spin the wool/fiber out after it is cooled, there may be some additional dye that rinses out after spinning, during felting or washing a knit item. The colors ARE color fast, I am just as I said, a bit liberal!!

7-29-10- UPDATE FINITO- finally! Hope you will have a good browse- be sure to look through all the fiber pages, new fibers pop up on ALL of them, not just the first! The big Baaazinga fiber party will begin on Sunday, Aug 1- giddyup!
