Culley, Baker & Treasure!
Culley, Baker & Treasure!
Culley (named after the founders of the Border Leicester breed of sheep) arrived as a cutie lamb. We love his curls-- Cully is a beautiful boy and enjoys having his picture taken! He is working on another beautiful fleece for spring! 

My birthday presents one year from my wonderful hubby and son! Two Border Leicester lambs from a local flock! Pictured on left is Treasure and right is Baker (short for Bakewell--he was named for the founder of Leicester sheep, Robert Bakewell). These are a very elegant sheep and I am so happy to have a few more of them since Miracle and Mma's passing..... They are very sweet and I am lucky to have them with us! They are good friends and they love everyone!  

Please keep a good thought for our Culley ok? Early this spring he came down with (2008) arthritis--a particularly evil case. His mama Mma had the same problem and we ended up putting her to sleep several years ago. Luckily, we caught Culley's problem (his front knees) before his legs were permanently damaged--a visit from our wonderful vet and some good drugs helped immensely and now Culley is back out with Dalai's group--we are watching to see that he does not have a relapse, hoping he can continue on with his buddies--otherwise, he will permanently stay in the 'hospital' pen with our old Kelly girl....

10-11-08-Doowop diddy wop--the update is DONE!! The sheep have already left the premises to eat grass and sun--have fun browsing!! Are you on our mailing list yet? :0)
