too cute for words!! 2008: We just spent the morning de-fluffing these two--wow, looks like a pillow exploded out there! The birds will be happy with soft, warm nests now. And I plan to bag up the best fiber and add it to some wool--it makes beautiful yarn!

The relationship between these two and local wildlife (coyotes) is very interesting too. They have 'boundaries' set up between them--mutual ones! Bobbi & Andrew are bosses of our pastures--and the coyotes stay outside the fences. They are not beyond taunting the dogs though, those coyotes (maybe stupid?) run howling right down our fence lines like, haha, you can't get me now. However, one night we were tucking the sheep in for the night and heard this AWFUL shrieking. We thought Bobbi was hurt--she had blood all over her face. What she did was she got tired of the coyotes teasing her (not funny when you are boss?) and she waited by the fence til they came sneaking by. One stuck his nose through the fence and she jumped up and grabbed the coyote by the nose. He was fine, just a nasty bloody nose and we could hear him howling out in the woods for a good hour--he was TICKED off. Bobbi was proud of herself though--and we do not have coyotes taunting the dogs any more-- :0) See, an understanding!

7-29-10- UPDATE FINITO- finally! Hope you will have a good browse- be sure to look through all the fiber pages, new fibers pop up on ALL of them, not just the first! The big Baaazinga fiber party will begin on Sunday, Aug 1- giddyup!
