Trevor & Brinley!
Trevor & Brinley!
Trevor and Brinley  are two beautiful Baby Doll Southdown lambs (twins) who we were lucky to find nearby! They are wonderful sheep who are so cute it is almost ridiculous! Trevor is a Gaelic name for cautious (which he tends to be) and Brinley is a Gaelic name for tawny--which perfectly describes their barely cinnamon color. The BDS sheep are used in Europe to keep weeds out of vinyards and orchards. They only get to be about 27 inches tall so they are too short to reach the fruits, but can do a fantastic job pruning vines and weeding! They just crack us up--very laid back and beyond cute!! They do this silly thing where they decide if it is important enough to get up from naps--they nap A LOT. They will sit up on their hinder like a dog sits, survey the situation, then heave ho to go join in the fun, or lay down and nap some more. Just cute beyond words! (although David the wonder shearer thinks they need to shave off a few pounds--sorry David-we think Trevor & Brinley just have 'short legs') :0)

10-5-08- Rainy day update is ready for browsing! The sheep will have a larger update this week, washed, dyed and unwashed wool and hoping for a box from the mills!!-- be sure you are on our mailing list ok? :0)

If you ever need something you do not see on the site, please email the sheep--we are happy to get you fixed up with some spectacular fiber and yarn!!
