Moose-the dude with a 'tude!
Moose-the dude with a 'tude!
Moose was also a rescue at the age of 4 weeks of age, weighing in at about a pound. Even at that age, he had an 'attitude' and was not a good candidate for adoption. He still has his moments but he is a great dog and is 10 years old now.....He does tricks and spends lots of time herding the cats outside. He took very good care of Oscar, leading him from place to place around the house and getting him 'unlost' from under the dining room table.... He missed Oscar for a very long time and has now become ears for Libby, our deaf Border Collie puppy. 

Despite a recent health scare, our Moose is doing great and enjoying life! He spends lots of time keeping track of Bobbi and Andrew as they guard their sheep--and keeping a close eye on the cats and roosters

It is hard to stay mad at him when he is grumpy though, he is such a good dog most days! He takes great care of Chaz and loves to go for walks outside the back yard--if he can sneak into the barn for a bite of cat food it is a much more 'successful' walk! Moose is our 'sock monkey' also--he sleeps next to our bed in his own comfy bed and when the alarm goes off, he runs off, finds a sock from the dirty clothes basket and runs around announcing to the entire house it is time to get on with the day! We call it the Moose bugle! When I get out of bed, he even brings me two socks--might not be clean but he has the right idea--ha!
