Farm Wreath!
Farm Wreath!
Our cutie sheep got together and combined some fiber before it got on its way to Shari at Morro Fleece Works! I love the surprises I get back- it is like Christmas thanks to the little stinkers helping me pack roving fun!! ;0)

We purchased Patch from a friend's flock as a youngster- he was quite the stinker from young lamb on (and still!). His mama would run about calling and calling him- and he never answered. He would finally pop his little head up as if to say, hey, what's the big deal?? - from inside of a feed tub, or whatever special place he found to nap. He drove his poor mama completely nuts trying to watch over him- and we KNEW right away he was 'meant to be at our farm'!! His name is not one of our more original- he is Patch because he has one hand sized patch of silvery gray on his back hip-I save that for adding strength to sock yarn!

Frosty & Jelly Bean arrived at the same time as bottle lambs a few years ago- and they are just peaches! They scampered around the first three months of their lives- in our kitchen/downstairs areas- all diapered up. I LOVE the sound of little hooves on the run- too too cute!

Frosty is a Lincoln cross sheep with beautiful curly locks, not as curly as a Lincoln, but the curl/wave is definitely definted, along with a bit of shine- and soft!

Jelly Bean is a Romney cross with a bit more medium softness wool, with a typical Romney crimp- even a little shine. He is a sweet sheep that loves hugs and of course, they all love Fruit Loops! The three sheep are still best friends and I love that they stay in their little families!

This fiber is a blend of our Patch (Romney x), Frosty (Lincoln x) and Jelly Bean (Romney x) fleeces. It is soft and slinky (not quite next to the skin soft) with a bit of shine! It does have very minor debris remaining that falls out easily during spinning. The wool spins up into a yarn that is perfect for most any project- I hear it felts well too!

Patch,Frosty,Jelly Bean roving blend (Farm Wreath): 4 ounces available- Price $2.25 per ounce
