Our Riley's Shetland/Merino x + Fawn Alpaca!
Our Riley's Shetland/Merino x + Fawn Alpaca!
Our Riley is a sweet pea sheep who arrived here a few years ago as a young sheep. He is a Shetland/Merino cross and because he was not handled much prior to moving in with us, he is still just a little shy. He loves his treats though, he will come up, take one and run away to a 'safe' distance to munch!! His best friends are Josephine and Lily--you can read more about them and see pictures on our 'meet the sheep' pages--they live with Bobbi & Andrew)

Riley's fleece is SO soft, I spun up a single ply of his barely cinnamon fleece, then spun a single of soft fawn alpaca (from Jen's flock)--plyed together it is a soft, incredible yarn that would match up well with several other skeins on this page--create your own design!! (the sheep recommend size 5 or larger knitting needle??)
