Keebler and his Molly girl!
Keebler and his Molly girl!

Keebler (Lincoln/Merino cross) was named after the Keebler cookie elves--that is just what he reminds us of! He was the smallest lamb and lived for a good portion of his first winter in the house by the fireplace! He was content to sit on my lap or on the couch while I knit or spun wool. I had a very hard time when he 'outgrew' me and moved outside to play!

He is a very grown up sheep now and spends his time watching over his Molly sheep. He still loves me (wah) but does prefer treats, a smooch, then back to his sheeps.... His best friend ever is Molly- he is completely devoted to her.

Molly is a pretty little Lincoln cross girl who has a few challenges to live with. She lost part of her back leg to the cold weather she was born in and while we tried several prosthetic legs for her (to help her avoid arthritis later in her life), we have decided to see how she does--and things have been great for Molly so far. Her leg is a little shorter than the other which gives her a tippy look but she really does very well-we have to keep a good eye on her one back hoof so the toes stay trimmed though.

News Update

7/28/14- The sheep are enjoying some breezy, not so humid days. Even doing a little tanning of tummies and legs? Whoa!

They are also working on a new blog. We can get into the old one but not to edit or add to it. It will stay on our site as 'archives'. Lots to do lots to do.

Our next update will be Wednesday, July 30. If you are looking for something you don't see on the site, just send an email on over!

Smooches from the sheep!
