Piper's Batt!
Piper's Batt!

Piper is my little (well not so little now) shadow. We don't breed our sheep so having his mom arrive pregnant when she retired was quite an event! I was a wreck and poor Abigail was wishing I would just chill - and leave her alone. Poor girl! As soon as Piper was born he bonded to me. He lived with Abi, who was a great mom, but I had to bottle feed the little scamp? During the day he would follow me all around while I worked outside. Sorting fleece time would find him sleeping under the skirting table. He munched grass and 'helped' me weed and was just happy to go where I went. I think Abi was ok with it though. She also had a twin we named Baaxter. He was a rowdy kidlet she had to keep track of!

Sadly, all lambs eventually figure out they can outrun me... Then Piper had to lose his yard privileges and be a 'big sheep'. We still walk all the time and his best friend is still his brother Baaxter. He is so sweet, loves hugs, a good back scratch and just to hang out with anyone- mostly me- good sheep! You can read more about him in the meet the sheep pages.

Piper's Romney fleece is a beautiful silver, next to the skin soft fleece. He carded his fiber with layers of gold and dark brown Tencel, sparkles, sari silk threads and natural red/brown alpaca!

You could spin this fiber as two batts, ply together; combine for a fun uniquely colored yarn- or just let your imagination show you the way!

Batt includes 2 ounces
