Hershey, Bram & Vaughan
Hershey, Bram & Vaughan

Hershey was our second sheep purchase from a local flock. He is a beautiful Moorit (dark brown) Shetland boy. His fleece is always long stapled, single coated and very fun to spin into a soft, fine yarn. He gives kisses and shakes hands for Fruit Loops..... He and his merry band of Shetlands spend hours playing king of the hill and racing each other in and out of the barn door!

Bram and Vaughan came to us from a local flock of Shetland sheep.... They are both very entertaining and find lots to do. They are never very far from Dalai. Bram is a pretty black/silver wether (his Irish name means 'raven') and Vaughan (his Irish name means 'small') is a beautiful moorit or reddish brown.

The Shetlands are SO fun to watch--they are such merry sheep! They are also an adventure at shearing time, it seems they change colors every year--check out their buddy Angus' story and you will see what I mean!!

Hershey's fleece is single coated (no guard hair), next to the skin soft, curly crimp and a pretty cocoa/red fawn color. His locks average 3-5 inches.

Bram's fleece is a dark black with silver tones. His locks are 3-5 inches, double coated but soft, although there is a variance of texture in this fleece, from soft to medium/coarse. Gorgeous!

Vaughan is a single coated Shetland, next to the skin soft, a deep cocoa color with auburn highlights- and blondie tips on the locks that average 3-4 inches.
