Greta, Ingrid & Claire!
Greta, Ingrid & Claire!

Greta is a wonderful little Shetland baby who came to us from our friend Jane. She is a very wonderful little sheep with a beautiful fleece. She loves to visit with us and is quite the acrobatic jumper--Becan thinks she is very cute!

Guess who came to join us? Ingrid, Greta's twin sister! The girls were very glad to see each other and are enjoying kicking up their heels in the pasture .... Becan has double trouble on his hands! Ingrid once took on the role as 'mom' to four chicks--they rode all around the yard with her and must have liked their little feet warm!

We also adopted Greta & Ingrid's brother Arthur and another Shetland Claire! What a group! Arthur and Claire are two little Shetland sheep. They are sweet babies who have the most wonderful fleeces--and are too fun to be around! Claire definitely has a mind of her own but likes to be with Arthur. Arthur makes sure he sticks close by her even when they are out with the other babies..

This little group is a happy family, although Claire has been branching her family out to include Sunshine and Mario--black Shetland twins who just grew big enough to move into the neighborhood. They all spend their time playing kind of the hill on the dirt piles from our excavation (long story) or just chasing each other from one end of the night pasture to the other--too too silly!

Greta, Ingrid and Arthur are related (and Claire too), and are also a beautiful fawn color, locks of 4+ inches, single coated and next to the skin soft.

Their sister Claire is a 'badger' color, she is kind of backwards though, she has a black underside, and a ghostly silver fleece. Her fiber is also next to the skin soft.

Recently Claire has taken a shine to our Blue Face Leicester cross sheep Mayhem- what a pair!
