Jonte!
 Jonte!

Jonte! a handsome, very sedate little Jacob bottle lamb who lost one ear early in his little life. You really can't even tell though. He has 5 horns (yep, five) and it kind of hides the fact his ear is shorter than the other. Who cares anyway right? :0)

We purchased Jonte from our friends Carl & Becky (Cold Valley Farms). His best friends are the Shetlands he spends countless hours playing tag and king of the hill with.... too fun!

Jonte has a little crush on our Shetland sheep Sunshine!

His Jacob fleece is a 'lilac' color, ranges from ecru/white to spots of lilac/silver/brown. Very pretty with locks of 3 inches, and very soft! Not your typical Jacob wool that is for sure!

Jonte has been hanging out with our Foster sheep lately. They are kind of an odd looking pair since Foster is so much bigger. Jonte keeps breaking off his horns playing too rough with the other sheep. He's pretty macho. In a way I am glad (once the bleeding is done) because the Jacobs grow such HUGE horns and I really feel bad when they can't sleep comfortably because they are so heavy. Guess he thinks like I do? Doubt it! He is always happy for a treat and a scratch on the chin and always a very busy, happy (sassy) fellow!

News Update

7/28/14- The sheep are enjoying some breezy, not so humid days. Even doing a little tanning of tummies and legs? Whoa!

They are also working on a new blog. We can get into the old one but not to edit or add to it. It will stay on our site as 'archives'. Lots to do lots to do.

Our next update will be Wednesday, July 30. If you are looking for something you don't see on the site, just send an email on over!

Smooches from the sheep!
