Miss Libby!
Miss Libby!

Libby is a much loved puppy we adopted from a friend. She was born deaf and we taught her sign language to keep her centered in our world- not just hers. She is a VERY busy Border Collie! She loves to spend time outside, chasing laundry hung outside, leaves blowing by and she spends hours watching the sheep.

She has some odd ideas of fun at times. Her favorite game is to look at the ground and wait for shadows to move. Then she pounces on them and barks at the ground. Too too funny! Her favorite game is 'flashlight' at night. She will chase that circle of light til she falls over if we let her. She also has a day time game- 'airplane'. I stand in the sun and twirl around in circles while she chases the shadows and again, barks at the ground! These two games really upset our other BC Noodle. She just does NOT understand what Libby is doing. Good thing we do right? ha!

Libby is getting older now and still enjoys her 'Libby TV' which is watching the pot belly pigs from her side of their fence. She's fascinated with them. They aren't too bothered by her, they ignore her most days.

Libby has developed arthritis now and is moving a little slower. We give her MSM and an aspirin each day and she does just fine. She does tricks if you insist too- shake, sit and lay down, sing, speak and she knows the sign for no. (she does pretend she can't see you though- like if she can't see you you can't see her?) My sweet silly girl.

News Update

7/18/14- The sheep are enjoying some breezy, not so humid days. Even doing a little tanning of tummies and legs? Whoa!

They are also working on a new blog. We can get into the old one but not to edit or add to it. It will stay on our site as 'archives'. Lots to do lots to do.

Our next update will be Tuesday, July 22. If you are looking for something you don't see on the site, just send an email on over!

Smooches from the sheep!
