Frannie! (Sponsored!)
Frannie! (Sponsored!)

Ruby arrived here from a friend's farm--she was an older Suffolk ewe who was such a card! It turned out that Ruby was expecting babies!

And here they are! Ruby's babies! A boy (Tater) and a girl (Frannie), both healthy and beautiful--the second and third babies ever to be born at our farm all these years ago!

The three sheep are still so close, it is amazing to see how the mamas care for their babies their entire lives--just like the families we have! They are just devoted to them and it is very sweet....

Frannie's white Suffolk/Corriedale x fleece is 4+ inches long, next to the skin soft with a loose crimp.

Frannie & Tater like to combine their wool into really soft roving and yarn. They argue about dye colors though. Frannie likes bright, girlie colors. Tater is manly and loves a nice tweedy look. :0)

2015- We recently had to send Ruby to heaven, she was 23 and starting to have some serious issues that caused her great pain. Her Frannie and Tater miss her. Tater is having trouble keeping his weight on so we moved him over to the special needs/oldster flock. He's made friends with our old Brady sheep. Frannie misses him but likes to hang around with Olivia now. Hopefully Tater will gain his weight back so he can go back in the big pasture group! Eat eat eat Tater!
