Patch is a sweet sheep we adopted as a bottle lamb- along with his buddies Happy, Gilmore, Goliath and Frosty. They spent their first winter tromping around in diapers, in the house with us! It is indescribable how happy the lambs are to trail around, stomping and running, then flopping down in the sunshine somewhere, on a soft baby blanket for a nice nap. When they are quiet, you better go find them though- they can get into plenty of mischief! You can read all about these now grown up boys on our meet the sheep pages!
Patch is a very elegant white Lincoln cross sheep with bouncy, silky wool. He had me spin his yarn with a bit of wool from his little family, some was dyed a faded lavender. Combined with the natural colors in the other wool, this is a nice, subtle heathered look.
After I spun the yarn up, I sent it to my friend Barbara. She sent home this cute, warm set of hand knit mittens! They are a child's size large- perfet for outside time to keep those fingers warm! A sweet pair of mittens packed full with Patch karma!
