Angus

Angus is an adorable Shetland sheep we adopted from a friend who had to sell her flock. He joined us along with his Shetland friends Charlie, Ilse, Rose and Gilbert the California Red sheep. They are a happy little family. Gilbert and Charlie are trying to teach the others that treats are a good thing. So far they are not convinced!

Angus is a beautiful silver color with black markings. He is almost 2 years old now and we are looking forward to a beautiful fleece next week!!! He is very close in markings and such with our Claire sheep. I also think Claire might have a little crush on Angus? (Angus is left picture, Claire right)

He is a sweet fellow and so far happy happy!

2017 update coming soon!

Sinbad

Another beautiful llama who came to live with us along with his buddy Bull- the Shire horse! Sinbad is 2 years old and grew up with Bull and a few other horses. He has no idea he is a llama- he thinks he is a horse! He loves Bull the most but does 'protect' the others too- Chelsea, Cassper and Cricket. He is hilarious!

Sinbad's fleece is a beautiful black color that you don't see too often. There is very little guard hair in his fleece and what is present is also soft. I use his fleece in any project. It is gorgeous. Sinbad's fleece doesn't grow as long or thick as the other llamas so like Chaquita, we only shear him every other year. He gets the rest of the spa treatment on shearing day though!

Sinbad is a very curious fellow, loves carrots and is VERY protective of his 'llamas' (horses). If they get upset about something he is immediately between them and the 'danger'. Oh Sinbad you silly horse, I mean llama!

(When we sheared him this year we left him a cute red mane down the back of his neck-there, now you are a horse!)
